Arthur, a young and eager knight from the village of Greenwood, often gazes out his window, hoping for a grand adventure.

One morning, King Edmund summons him. The King says, ‘Arthur, a menacing dragon lives in the Misty Castle to the North. It takes our gold and scares our people. Will you help?’

Arthur nods. ‘I will stop this dragon.’

His journey is long. He travels over tall mountains and through green forests. Birds sing, and rabbits hop. But Arthur keeps going. He wants to be brave and face the dragon.

The towering, stone-clad Misty Castle is vast and dark. Within its walls, he meets the formidable dragon, its scales shimmering and eyes fiery. But Arthur is not scared. He thinks of his village and his family.

‘Dragon,’ Arthur says, ‘leave our lands and take no more gold.’

The dragon laughs. ‘Try and make me!’

They battle. Arthur uses his shield and his sword. The dragon tries to use its fire, but Arthur is quick.

After a long fight, the dragon says, ‘Enough! You are a strong knight. I will leave.’

The people cheer when Arthur returns. He did it! He feels happy and brave. He knows he’s a true knight.
