‘Dad, can we go in now?’ Evelyn asks at the entrance to the circus tent.

‘Yes, let’s go,’ Dad says.

Inside, they see clowns, elephants, and jugglers. Evelyn’s eyes widen. She loves it all.

However, her attention turns to a magician who looks disheartened.

‘Why are you sad?’ Evelyn asks him.

‘My magic wand is missing, so I can’t do my act,’ says the magician.

Just then, a mischievous clown walks by. Evelyn notices a mysterious object peeking out from his oversized pocket. It resembles the wand!

‘That clown has your wand!’ Evelyn tells the magician.

She chases the clown around the circus. The crowd laughs, thinking it is part of the show.

Finally, Evelyn is quick and grabs the wand from his pocket.

‘Here you go,’ she gives it back to the magician.

‘Marvelous! Now, look!’ With a flick of his wand, the magician summons a shower of sparkling confetti. The crowd erupts in applause.

The sneaky clown frowns but doesn’t say anything. Evelyn knows he won’t take things that aren’t his anymore. She is so proud of her bravery and doing what’s right.
